Unity Health Jacksonville Hospital

Unity Health wanted to take an abandoned hospital and transform it into a new state-of-the-art hospital. Although the project was a renovation the design team wanted the community to see it as something brand new. Clean sleek modern design elements and materials were a stark juxtaposition to what was there. The project was approximately 97,000 square feet for the first-floor hospital renovation. As a visitor and/or patient, making your way through the building was very difficult to understand. This was a driving force to integrate wayfinding into the architecture then reinforced by the interior finishes and signage.
